MCCF biomass and waste water treatment projects in Bulgaria and Romania

> View Project Details

The Multilateral Carbon Credit Fund is a joint climate change initiative by the EBRD and EIB. Fully subscribed, with €208.5 million in commitments, the MCCF is one of the few carbon funds dedicated specifically to countries from Central Europe to Central Asia.

Royal HaskoningDHV supported the EBRD with project identification, contracting and development under the MCCF in Eastern European countries. The portfolio included a number of landfill gas projects, a biomass boiler at a Bulgarian Saw mill and a waste water treatment facility in Romania. As a shareholder of Climaet Focus, I assisted Royal HaskoningDHV with project registration under a UNFCCC carbon standard and with estimating the emission reduction potential of these projects.

More information on the MCCF.
